The Problem

Angolan freelancers and clients had no trustworthy way to transact remotely — local/cross-border payment friction, no escrow protection, and no structured way to negotiate, deliver, and resolve disputes without pre-existing trust.

Key Features

• ▸Custom Angola payment gateway integration (AppyPay) — Multicaixa Express phone-push charges and pay-later payment references, with token caching, webhook handling, and polling jobs as a fallback reconciliation mechanism
• ▸Dual-currency payment stack: AppyPay (Kwanza) alongside PayPal behind a clean strategy-pattern gateway interface
• ▸Explicit finite-state machine governs the project lifecycle (published → negotiating → accepted → in progress → delivered → completed, plus disputed/cancelled branches) — centralizing business rules instead of scattering status checks
• ▸Escrow and wallet ledger system with transactional credit/debit, partial refunds with evidence uploads, and a full dispute subsystem with a dedicated admin panel
• ▸Modular-monolith architecture — Admin, Auth, Loja, Marketplace, Messaging, Payments, Social, and Wallet each isolated as a self-contained module with its own service provider and routes
• ▸Defense-in-depth security: HSTS, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy, a Report-Only CSP, per-endpoint rate limiting, and mandatory TOTP two-factor authentication
• ▸Companion Chrome browser extension (Manifest V3) that authenticates via a Sanctum token and polls for unread notifications, showing a live badge count on the toolbar icon

Designed and built: architecture, backend, AppyPay/PayPal payment integration, escrow and wallet system, browser extension, and production deploy — bringing in contractors when the scope called for it.
